Are those hours you spent in the gym exercising today affecting your skin in some way?

Yes, they do! By exercising you increase the blood flow to your cells, so your skin is getting the oxygen and nutrients it needs to stay healthy and glowing. But there can be some problems with your skin if you don’t take care of it correctly.

  1. Don’t postpone your shower after a workout.

I know you may be tired and want to relax after your workout, but please shower first, then you can chill all you want. The sweat is not a friend of your skin.

2. Exfoliate your skin.

If you shower right after your workout, great! But do you exfoliate your skin? You should be careful because of the build up of dirt and sweat, chances are you don’t exfoliate enough and I don’t mean the skin only on your face but on your body too. There are different types, choose the one for you. Some can be used daily, but if you pick something with AHA or BHA try to use it 1-2 times a week. Don’t forget to moisturize after that.

3. Watch your diet.

I know you want to gain or lose weight fast, but an unbalanced diet will directly harm your skin condition and that’s not the only thing that will suffer. There’s a good chance your skin will be the first indicator of an unbalanced diet. Strange breakouts and irritation? Time to check if your diet is good for your body.
